We were thrilled to have Paula Jenkins as our featured speaker at our Breakfast before Business recent networking event in Highwood. My first encounter with Paula was at another Chamber event, where she managed to capture my attention in a brief 30-second introduction. Impressed by her charisma, I reached out and invited her to join us in Highwood. Our event took place at a children's play space, a no-shoes, socks-only play area. Paula, embracing the unique setting, presented in her socks, showcasing her engaging and personable nature. Her presentation on communication styles was not only insightful but also immediately connected with the audience. Paula shared her personal journey, embracing her "unapologetically Paula" approach, and encouraged attendees to identify their communication styles by raising their hands high. The interactive session involved assigning qualities to these styles, resulting in an energetic and participatory atmosphere with raised hands and enthusiastic responses. Paula's ability to make the experience both enjoyable and educational was evident as the majority of the crowd stayed to engage with her after the presentation. This is the second time I've had Paula speak for a leadership series for our Chamber of Commerce and to say the least she blew it out of the park.
